Open genealogical questions

  • The Hamilton-Warhol-Bacon-Rothko-Paolozzi-Cézanne line. Bauman names them explicitly. No source shows the practitioners themselves citing these names. The lineage is critic-imposed scaffolding. Legitimate to note as such.
  • The Hamburg school. Monk Antony suggested the Hamburg school “has a lot in common with this schizocollage/avant gay scene” in a reply thread. The connection remains anecdotal; no practitioner has claimed it.
