Schizocollage is the formal language of a contemporary on-chain art scene — the work appearing on Solana through VVV.so, gathered at Galerie Yeche Lange in New York, named and named again by Monk Antony in Le Random. Its central exemplar is Evil Biscuit’s Drifella III — 1,333 rendered rooms, each a triptych, totaling 3,999 paintings, built by misusing the HashLips PFP engine until the Dratini silhouette inside dissolves. The scene takes Charlotte Fang’s neochibi and post-authorship from Milady, splits eastward in 2022 through Spiky DJ’s Mifella, and develops on Solana into something Milady never attempted — image as built room rather than feed-scroll asset, lore as architecture, traits multiplied past the threshold where the figure remains legible.
The press’s first issue exists because the scene’s record lives in fragments. Two essays in Le Random by Peter Bauman and Brian Droitcour, one piece in Right Click Save, SonofLasG’s Iridium Pilled on Paragraph, an hour of the Verse Works podcast with Lowbie, the cuckcore.de splash, and X.com threads scattered across @MonkAntony, @briandroitcour, @CreamyDreamy, @bis__cut, @MMifella, @Yeche_Lange, @vvvdotso, @archivepilled, @sssluke1. Nothing collects them. Nothing treats the scene as a coherent formal development on its own terms — only as Vibes. The press treats it as a movement deserving the same vocabulary one would bring to any post-war school, and assembles the record in one place so a reader in five years has somewhere to begin.
